It's been a marathon.....

It's a conversation I often have with folk south of the Border trying to understand Scottish politics.   I'm not all that sure I know any better than they do - but I do claim that the 2011 SNP landslide was because a) they had done well running the country to date and b) the opposition was monumentally unimpressive.    For a lot of voters it wasn't meant to be any endorsement of independence...As we saw in 2014 when the bid for independence was decisively rejected.

Yesterday's election has produced fascinating results.  We are in for an exciting time.   It's fairly clear to the majority, though, that this lady is star political material.   Even those who would not endorse her philosophy would applaud her skill.   And she has a way with people.

Anyway, for the moment we get a rest.
