A life in pictures...

Liberation Picnic

Today started badly and got better. Thanks to some juggling at work and some very caring colleagues, I was able to join Harry for his picnic on the school field. The children had all dressed up 1940s style. They'd decorated bunting, there were military vehicles and a group of people who'd actually been evacuated from Guernsey. The children all sang "We'll meet again," and I, like many others, burst into tears. It was all very emotional.
We should never forget how lucky we are to be able to live the lives we lead today.
