Yesterday we had a day to raise money to help those affected by the earthquake in Nepal. The whole community could wear a hat for the day for a donation and lots of the children and parents baked cakes and biscuits to sell at break and after school! There were a variety of hats from 'normal' sports caps to home made Spring bonnets - with a wedding veil and authentic 'Sorting hat' thrown in for good measure!

We are extremely fortunate to have a direct link to the British School Kathmandu through COBIS and the money has already been transferred to where it can most help families and therefore, children and young people.

I was fortunate that one Parent had made flapjack today as my wheat-free diet doesn't allow me to indulge in the wonderful looking cakes! Philip, however,  always enjoyed the plate of goodies I would bring home for him following a Bake Sale!
