Glasses mostly empty

An evening of laughs and surprising unbidden tears.

I have loved more deeply than I thought possible here, and when I laugh here, it is with the music of that love ringing in my ears. Sometimes the memories leak from my eyes.

The pain of loss is daft, pathetic, wasted.
But nonetheless, my heartbreak at his leaving is what makes me who I am today.

And the company of friends who continue to love and support me as I learn to move on is as valued as ever it could be.
