Down town Shanghai
Actually had a few minutes today so two of us set off to walk to the centre of town. Two ferries and several kilometres later this was the view. Actually saw some birds with a variety of herons and totally unexpectedly some species of shrike
This particular skyscraper is the second tallest building in the world I was told and as you can see it does eponymously scrape the sky.
An interesting contrast with one side of the river full of Victorian colonial buildings, the other reaching to the sky and the river itself full of barges laden with building materials going up and down.
On the return we had a brief visit to a Chinese market but before certain readers get all excited, it was very limited.....
