Great City Games ( Manchester)

Day 1 of these well set out City Games, using the Arena , Albert Square and a good stretch of Deansgate. I was fascinated by the runners and hurdlers. My  blip is of a womans race . Extra shows a men's hurdle race. This would have been my main but for the moving tv cam .Even so I love the action .Thank goodness the visit to the dog track gave me practice photographing fast moving dogs .Today these excellent athletes proved a challenge .
