Sunderland Point , Lancashire

Sunderland, commonly known as Sunderland Point, is a small village among the marshes, on a peninsula between the mouth of the River Lune and Morecambe Bay. It's a village of about 30 houses approximately 7 miles from Lancaster. The area used to have links with cotton and slave trading boats . As a result one person has a grave here and is remembered. For some time it was unmarked & this link will explain perfectly

A strange place to visit since one must be there at low tide as the road is underwater come high tide plus the marshes hide quick sand .It's a bird watchers paradise. We returned to Lancaster and attended a splendid organ concert at The Priory Church before the drive back to Manchester .In my extra pictures you see a fascinating street name seen in Lancaster and the astonishing organ which when played links two truly magnificent organs.
