Blue window

Leading worship this morning at a modern, but beautiful church in Edinburgh. This is one of two windows that you see from the pulpit.

The church is architecturally fascinating, with a window in the top of the wall on to a cross made from the central supporting girders of the church. The church is literally built upon the cross. There are modern versions of the symbols of the Gospel writers above the door and coloured windows throughout representing creation. The wooden ceiling is shaped like angels wings, hovering over the congregation.

A lovely afternoon at Vogrie country park with folk from my home church at a Jubilee BBQ, and a surprising number of geocaches made it an excellent afternoon.
