Crystal-gazing

This crystal, hanging in our dining-room window, was filling the room with sharp little rainbows in the late afternoon sun. They were very beautiful, but surprisingly disappointing when photographed, so I thought I'd just post a big shot of the (walnut-sized) crystal instead. 

A present to Mr PB from a good friend, this has been one of the most constant simple pleasures of the last 13 or so years. Only problem is that we fastened it to the cord of the blind; we've not been able to draw it for a long time ...
