Swingometer...

..broken!  Well, they had to recalibrate it.  Not expecting unprecedented swings of 35%.  It really was amazing watching result after result come in, with SNP taking seat after seat.  Also fantastic to see the number of women MPs increase. I managed to stay up till 4:15am but gave it up after that, as I had to get up to take the girls to school the next morning.
It was a bitter sweet victory, wonderful news for Scotland, and then there was the rest of the UK...tories won, so we're all stuck with them.  The singular conservative MP in Scotland managed to hold on to his seat by less than 800 votes. We now have one LibDem MP and ONE Labour MP.  We have a system that needs to be reformed, however while it benefits those in power, I don't see that there will be a rush to push reforms through.  We have two countries with very different political leanings, the opposite of each other in fact.  So yes, I'm not happy about it but stuck with it.  I'm worried about the NHS, austerity, welfare cuts, the imbalance in society, TTIP, there's a long list.
I'm aware others don't share my views and that's fine!
