Cheers!

This afternoon was spent with friends, a bottle of Jubilee champagne and a bowl of Scottish strawberries watching the magnificent royal pageant as the Royal Barge, with the Queen and close family on board, led the 1,000+ boats making up the Jubilee Thames flotilla. It was cold but only started to rain during the last mile or so as the boats moved at just 4 knots for seven miles down the Thames from Battersea Bridge to Tower Bridge. The Queen did us proud today - despite the cold and wet she stood for the entire journey and kept her smile and waved to everyone making them all feel special, even those drenched with rain at the end looked happy to have been part of such a special event.

I have to say, however, that we enjoyed every glorious British moment without suffering a drop of rain!
