Soggy Street Party

ugh....who ordered the rain? It hasn't really stopped all day.But we are British, and a British celebration isn't going to get missed because of some rain ;)
The local town held a children's street party today. It would have been absolutely brillant had it not been pouring with rain, as it was it was great fun, just rather soggy!
We actually arrived a little late, we decided we would eat the sandwich part of our meal at home and then go down to the town to join in. When we arrived the "eating" partof the event was over and the entertainment had started, but that's ok. The tables were all laid out still so the minipinks had their cakes.
We met Minnie and Mickey Mouse and snow white, aswell as a King and princess. There was a magician which the minipinks watched for a little while.
As the afternoon went on, the weather worsened, but we decided we'd make the most of it, and enjoyed an ice cream (in the drizzle) and had a dance to the disco (in the rain) and the mini pinks queued up to have a balloon animal from the magician. Miss Pink was incredibly patient, so the magician made her a pink poodle as a special one!

We stayed until all but the dj desk had been packed away and then came home to watch the flotilla on the thames. With a cup of tea and a custard cream!
