Jubilee Picnic
I couldn't choose one image from today as it's just been a fab day. We've been celebrating the Queen's jubilee at the village picnic today. The weather kept dry all day, and even treated us to a tiny bit of sunshine this afternoon. the children had a blast; there were eleven bouncy castle/trampoline/fun things for them to play on, and a good assortment of pre-school happy amusements from the sure start team and local toddler groups. And food....lots of food. Miss pink enjoyed seeing the air ambulance and looking inside, and Master Pink enjoyed having a bit of freedom to enjoy the event with his friends ( attached to us by invisible elastic - you must keep in our sight!!). The local dance school did some demonstrations of their classes. At the end they did a Zumba session, I didn't join in, but Minnie Mouse did and Miss Pink was a bit starstruck! Miss Pink and I left about 5ish as she was so tired and had had enough really, so we went home for a chill out. The boys came back later and had been jumping on bouncy castles for the whole time.
In the evening I went up to the church with my mum to see the concert that was being held there to celebrate the jubilee and the church's flower festival. The concert was two different choirs, a female barbershop choir called Chorus Iceni and the homegrown Jubilee Singers. The "Jubilee Singers" were making their debut performance and did brilliantly well. The singers were all amateurs and some self proclaimed tone deaf only 8 weeks or so ago. Our Priests wife had transformed them into a brilliant choir. Well done Jubilee Singers, you were fantastic.
A fun day.
