Cup Final

Amy's football team were promoted at the end of last season to the premiership league for their age category ('top flight' as it's known), in the Surrey County League. At the end of this first season, they have finished in 4th place... not bad as there are some very established and accomplished teams in this league. But the big achievement for our girls this season, is reaching the Under 13 Challenge Cup final.  And today was that match.

They were playing Crystal Palace Reds who are 2nd in the league, a challenge for our girls! They seemed nervous but came out fighting. Unfortunately they conceded a goal fairly early on, but that seemed to make them even more determined. They played so well but were unable to score, despite many tries. So the final score was 0-1. They were disappointed but proud that they had played so well. 

Challenge Cup runners up in their first season in the top division... well done girls!
