An Evening Meeting at Ripon

Soft going had been forecast. Soggy was the reality.
It was no thrill for Mockingbird Hill whose supporters
had ample reason for optimism which was naturally
adversely reflected in the odds. The result confirmed
that the horse had as much enthusiasm as we had
for a good old British downpour !
