Red, White and Blue

The first day of the Queen's Jubilee Celebrations - and what a miserable day weather-wise. Regardless, we watched the fotilla of boats moving floating down the Thames on TV, impressed by the enthusiasm of those taking part, and the gracious aknowledgement of Her Majesty and party of the cheers from the rain soaked spectators lining the banks. At the end of the spectacle the tugs and working boats of London gave their traditional fanfare of horns and hooters, normally reserved for New Year's Day - and when I stuck my head out of the back door I could just hear them over the rain.

In keeping with the day, I scoured Mum's garden and took these three studies of flowers in the national colours of Red, White and (almost) Blue and merged them together to today's blip.
