Korcula
April 23
We arrived in Korcula during breakfast. In the morning we had a walking tour with Petra's husband's aunt. She was an excellent guide. We then took a boat ride to the archipeligo of islands near Korcula. It was a bright sunny day.
We went back to the boat and had a good lunch. Then Arvin and I walked back into town. He didn't want to climb stairs so we walked along the edge of the town. We stopped at Petra's husband's hotel restaurant for a glass of wine. (He does not own the place but manages it. His cousin owns it.) We looked at the spa and some of the other places. It is a beautiful hotel. Petra's husband is a big guy, good looking too.
Arvin walked back to the boat with a guest named Susan. I walked around and met up with Alan and Susan Rhodes. We stayed together until I stopped in a jewelry store and bought a pair of choral and silver earrings.
After dinner we played bingo. We were sitting with Alan and Susan. None of us won anything but we had fun.
Extra photos: near Marco Polo's birthplace, Petra and her husband, Athena docked in Korcula, Arvin at Petra's husband's hotel.
