Saved from the Wind
This Cherry's sister trees stand in a more exposed position. Although they're still pretty, the winds took the best part of their blooms. On the north face of the building this plant gets less light, less wind and blooms a week or so later.
I've always loved these trees with their thick blossoms. Despite being doubles, they open their centres to the bees and other pollinating insects. If all goes well there will be fruit in June.
