A little influence

Tonight I was at a Scottish Parliament debate on end of life care. The MSPs directly quoted my briefings, spoke my words and talked about our work. I can't tell you how proud I felt when an MSP was speaking about my recent work on the Carers Bill. Of course they've spoken about our work many times in Parliament, but I recognised full sentences that I had written today.

I feel very proud to be directly influencing Scottish Policy. Massive win. My writing matters. I felt like I was Sam Seaborn. Well, almost!

In other news, I'm out for dinner with Debs and Nanisa at Amerone - a fabulous wee midweek catch up.

You can't take photos during the debate so no blipping it, but I did walk past St Andrew's House on the way into town to meet the girls and thought it might be nice to blip the Saltire.
