My life, my lens

Shoppers delight

We started the day visiting the Duomo di Milano which is an amazing building but I prefer the outside to the inside. We then carried on the spend the afternoon looking around the Castello Sforzesco. The museum contains what I through was a rather random collection of artefacts but the jewels in the crown is a beautiful ceiling painted by Leonardo da Vinci which is being restored.

Its been a nice hot day so we wandered around the designer shopping area people watching and window shopping.  We ended up back at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II which is one of the world's oldest shopping centres and was built between 1865 and 1877. It also has a tradition which you spin on one foot on the picture of the bull which is a mosaic of the floor. You have to put your foot on the bull's balls to do this and we couldn't resist giving it a go. Hope it brings us good luck!
