Book club today :  God's Hotel, a doctor, a hospital and a pilgrimage to the heart of medicine, by Victoria Sweet.   About the last "alms house" in the USA in San Francisco and the changes to medicine.  I like the parts about the history of Hildegard of Germany.

Packing up to head to the island early tomorrow morning-2 weeks for now.
Still working on editing and culling my Venice photos -too many impossibly picturesque shots... And then there's the iPad sketch I've threatened to do,
once a week.

So that's what you get today.  A sketch.  I saw this gondolier pushing off the wall....
