Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Manchester or Manchester United??

Out to a fine dinner with two fine blipper friends from the UK who are here discussing Manchester verses Manchester United  (is this soccer??) with the owner/chef of the restaurant who is from Barcelona… something Gordon says never happens with the usual American!
Not much talk about blip, believe it or not…too many other things… but we know, once again, that we can expect  blippers to be special!

How could I not have a bit of a visit with PaulaJ this afternoon to a WEAVING shop (yes, I now have some fleece to try to felt) and a BOOKSTORE for a book on Chicago for their next adventure by train starting tomorrow.  We’re also packing up for the evening ferry to the island tomorrow. ( Piles of stuff in the one extra.)

Last night’s Opera (the first extra):  The 2 hours and 20 minutes of Wagner’s opera, Flying Dutchman, went by so fast without an intermission..it was riveting —Actually one of those truly memorable peaks I think.  One tilted box set for boat at sea and hall on land was very effective and the music and the singing was “kick butt”  (H’s description.) It's not a new production..it must have seemed very "modern" when it was performed in the mid 90s.
