King parrot
A rather wet and dismal day in Melbourne, but this male King Parrot brought a splash of colour to the garden this morning. We see quite a lot of them at this time of year, as they love the acorns from my oak trees.
NB: When I compare this image as published here with it in Aperture, the colours are much more vibrant in Aperture. Does anyone know why that is? Do I need to adjust my colour settings in Aperture or PS before blipping an image, to allow for the fact that they get 'dimmer' on blip? Or is it perhaps Aperture that's to blame, for making them look more colourful than they really are?!
