Fence post

I have seen this burnt fence many times, but never thought to photograph it until today, camera in hand, I was out looking for a blip subject on my dog walk.

Every post on this fence line is burnt - but the last bushfire to come through here was in 1969 (the house that was on our current house site also burnt down then). Most farmers would have replaced the posts, but it still does it's job and it's a reminder that none of us here are free of the risk of bush fire.
