Flowers on the croft..

Ladies Smock, or Cuckoo flower, cardamine pratensis..
The pratensis part of the latin name means "meadow", and is common in wet patches. The croft is covered with these just now. I particularly like this shot, with the sun behind the subject, making the petals glow with that delicate shade of pink..

Been helping A today, putting up his new polytunnel. Same size as mine, but halfway down his croft on a levelish site. Marked out and dug the four corners, posts concreted in, and all measurements re-checked..

Then put the plough on and ploughed a patch of R's croft for him. That went quite well to. Getting better at this ploughing malarky!!.. Came back and washed it off, and actually have shiny metal parts on it! Must get a can of spray paint now, to stop it rusting..

Took Tanni for a walk down the beach, stopping to study the wild flowers on the croft. Also have violets out, celendines, and 1 or 2 dandelions. Not enough to make wine!.. Then along the beach and out onto N's paddock. First time we've been out there for a while as he's had sheep and lambs out there. Tanni enjoys a run out there..
