filled up

I got a bit mixed up today.

I thought the top number was how many miles I had left in fuel tank!

so when mid afternoon I arrived home at 17 loads of leeway to get to the petrol station.

imagine my surprise when I got back in early evening and it said 9. I thought it was funny only then did I realise I'd been looking at the temperature. When I first set off again in the car it said 3 miles to empty!

by the time I'd been round a couple of corners and down a little hill it went up to 8. I didn't dare drive past the garage I called in and filled up.
