The Rookery

We started the day at the Venice Rookery (Venice, FL).  The rookery sits pretty much dead center in a man made pond and has old and new vegetation with nests tiered throughout.  

There were Anhingas, Blue/Green/Tri-colored/Black Crowned Herons, Snowy/Great/Cattle Egrets, and Glossy/White Ibis all within an island that is roughly 50 feet by 25 feet.  

I had a blast here and will definitely come again!
