Back in Nafplion

When we arrived back in Nafplion yesterday it was glorious sunshine, and we were sitting in The square with our Frappe when the wind got up, and there were some spectacular cracks of thunder in the distance. Then the bloody rains came. And stayed all afternoon and night... Consolation to that though is for one night at Marianna they put us in one of their stone rooms, fabulous, which had a skylight in the roof and had the best sleep of the holidays, 9 hours, lulled to sleep with the rain ;)

Today was breezy, and not as warm as it's been. The Pelops had untypically warm weather last week, hovering around the high 20s and over the 30 mark some days, usually in early May it's around 25, a very warm Scottish day.

We wussed out on a trip to Epidavros as it was colder, so spent the day wandering the harbour, pier and streets of the town. Strangest sight was this bride wandering around getting her picture taken, one of the shoots was at the kiddies swing park! I thought it may have been a re-enactment maybe got married in the rain yesterday and wanted shots over to the Bourtzi.

Back to room 1 for the next two days - it has the most fantastic views over the town.
