Green Bee-eater

Very common bird here ( he's perched on our satellite cable)and not looking so resplendent as normal, he actually looks as though his beautiful vibrant colours have faded quite considerably! A bit like my washing! There was rain last week but sadly not on our side of the mountain so temperatures are now very high and there is a considerable amount of dust everywhere and on everything, we desperately need the rain now to give everything a wash and hopefully push the temperatures back a notch, it really is too hot here!
