Published at last!

10 years in the writing, but Mary Arden very recently saw her Wartime Wren experiences in print at last at the impressive age of 91. We were fortunate to catch up with her as she spent the year of 1943 billeted in our village pub when she was posted to RNAS Yeovilton. Her posting was as Night Vision Tester - teaching pilots to see in the dark. Quite a lifestyle change for the 18 year old who had attended Finishing School and been a Debuttante! She signed a copy of her book for us and we hope to include her in our own village history of the 20th century.
