Dunfermline Abbey

Had the day off today - back night shift though - and as the Kids were in school. Clare and I decided to head over the water to Dunfermline. Primarily we had to get bits and pieces for the church kids for next sunday but once that was over and since the sun was shining, we decided to head over to the Abbey.

A beautiful old building with much history - far to much for me to describe - though if you are interested check out this link - Dunfermline Abbey - A history - safe to say that a very famous Scottish King is buried there - Robert the Bruce.

So after coffee (obligatory) and a wee wander around, we headed home - to resume sun bathing in the garden - Life is tough and lets hope the night shift at the fire station does not throw up any nasties..
