Fields of gold
After a decent nights sleep the morning just drifted by, reading the paper, watering the baskets, making final arrangements for tomorrow's meet :-) then we were off to meet up with daughter and granddaughter for lunch. Emily brought her friend Lydia along for company. We had just ordered our food when daughters partner rang saying he had left without his keys, so she had to dash off to meet him on the M6.
After we went our separate ways.....we went to a local garden centre and pick your own area, where they grow, then make and sell their own rapeseed oil. I have wanted to shoot a yellow field for quite a while so thought i'd best get on with it, before it's too late! Only trouble is, there is quite a busy road that is the link to the M6 that runs between the fields and where I can safely stand, so couldn't get close nor as low as I would have liked, had to make the best of it!
It's been a better day than forecast, although it is really blowy!! not warm enough to sit around outside, so,have spent the latter part of the afternoon reading and watching videos about lenses, in an effort to get a better understanding :-0
We are off out for the day tomorrow, looking forward to steam trains, blippers and 1940s stuff :-)
