Southampton sunrise
I was awake early.......lucky enough to see this beautiful pre sunrise sky, around 5.30 as we were approaching Southampton; we were due to dock Round 6.30.
The alarm went off at 7, we are up (again), showered, hand luggage packed and vacated our cabin by 8 as requested.
Off up to the horizon restaurant for our last treat, a cooked breakfast, before lazing on the sun deck in lovely sunshine, to wait for our disembarkation time slot.
An announcement informed us that as everything had gone particularly smoothly, we could disembark ahead of our slot, which we did......by the time we got into the baggage reclaim hall, most passengers had already gone, making it a doddle finding our bags.
taxis aplenty, a short 15 minute ride back to SiLs house, all indoors by 10.30.......simples!!!
We spent a fair amount of today sat in their garden chatting, having inspected their greenhouse to make sure everything had survived ok. In between SiL was putting on their washing, beep beep it's ready, pegging it out, putting it on, beep beep, pegging it out.......ive got all that to come!
Their cat, Purdy was very pleased to see them, she was living up to her name purrrring constantly ;-)
We decided to head off out for dinner this evening to finish off our holiday :-)
Last night down south for us, for now, anyhow!
Oh....just realised this is my 730th blip, well quite apt I suppose, the sun rising on another year of blipping, marvellous :-)
