Just what I wanted
Having looked at the forecast I took a chance and got up early as it looked like that was going to be the best bit of the day as heavy rain was forecast from 8 am onwards. I was so lucky as the sun was shining as a rain shower past over making a lovely bright rainbow just above the horses. It was warm enough to sit outside and I enjoyed listening to all the dawn chorus. This did change and although it's been sunny for periods of the day heavy rain and hail have broken up the sunny spells. The wind really picked up with the showers and the birds were having trouble keeping on the feeder. We have had four baby greenfinch and two baby siskins still. The starlings and the blackbirds have been so busy collecting plenty of worms and grubs from the wet grass , there must be some very fat chicks somewhere.
Another rainbow has ended the day and the sun has just gone behind the hill. About to watch a film with Mike and David.
