'I give you an onion'

Higher English is over!  That exam was causing a lot of stress in this house. The main motivation, repeated to the victim student at least once a day, was:  "if you can pass the damn thing this year, you will never have to do it again."  At least it gave me a chance to revisit Carol Ann Duffy's poetry , which I love (though I do wonder who thought it was likely to engage 17-year-old  boys).
