Battle of the Ground Elder

Russet surveys the garden with some dismay. She does not relish disruption, even when her labrador friend Holly came along to help.

This bed has been overtaken by ground elder. I have battled with it, digging it out, spraying it, scoffing it, you name it - I've tried!

So a ruthless decision was made - ALL OUT!! (except the roses).
Then weedkiller, a membrane, and a covering of wood chips is planned.
For this year anyway, pots will replace the plants in the ground.
A blip to come when it is finished!?
