The Jubilee
Today Crosthwaite celebrated the Queen's Jubilee in style. A lot of people had worked very hard to put on a full day and evening of festivities. A fantastic lunch for the whole village in the Memorial Hall, then over to the playing fields for games, drinks, face painting, tug of war, knobbly knees competition (which Sam won!) and lots more. It really is an amazing village, with lots of energy from young and old alike. We're back down to the field tonight for hog roast, dancing and singing, before the lighting of the beacon on Whitbarrow and fireworks. :)
