Another stormy night

Debbie said we really had a lot of rain and lightening overnight.  I did not hear it.  Someday my sound sleep may catch up to me.  I could be like Dorothy and be swept away to another land and not even know it.

Yesterday canned some split pea soup.  My system is set up for small batch canning.  It will fit only four jars.  I plan on making normal size family batches for meals and canning the rest.  I don't do dairy so most of what I eat is canable.  And I am not a cannibal or an eater of any kind of meat.

As soon as I press publish, I will go in and start making some dill pickles.  I have made a lot of refrigerator pickles.  This will be my first attempt at canning some.

My photo blip comes from the patio of a new restaurant in the neighborhood.  Debbie and I tried it once.  I liked it a lot.  Debbie not so much.  South American and Spanish cuisine.
