A Perfect Day
I have to confess it was my birthday today.
A wonderful surprise was to discover I had not one but two mentions in the top selections of this weeks maymacromayhem organised by
WalkingWombats and helped by guest judge Jensphotos - Newcastle Downunder and friends. A great thank you, I feel really honoured.
After a super breakfast brunch we went up on Bodmin to a butterfly group ramble. We were hoping to see some of britains rarer butterflies, the pearl bordered fritillary. Although sunny there was very cool wind and very few butterflies about, eventually we found a newly emerged small pearl bordered fritillary ( see extras) but no sign of the pearl bordered fritillary which normally flies earlier. A disappointment and worrying. Still it was good to meet fellow enthusiasts.
In the evening went to dinner at the most exclusive place in town overlooking the downs and sea - my sisters new flat where we enjoyed watching the sea, surfers and the cricket while drinking a g&t on the balcony.
A super perfect day.
