...and super fruit of this century, this Shrek-like beauty from Marissa's orchard shop.
Her description of the flesh was that is flaked like fish!
Not at all fishy to taste (thankfully) but sweet, fragrant and very creamy fresh scooped from the knobbly skin.

What a talented fruit too.
 It apparently does you good... the super fruit of this century exhibiting  'potent anti-diabetic, anti-obese, anti-microbial and anti-cancer properties.'
And it is cookeable in everything from a Thai Red Curry to Caramelised Custard Apple Bruschetta and for the baking challenged (me) a Fridge Cake... all washed down with Rocket Fuel.
