Wound up in Wexford

Carrow Abbey

I went to a Child Protection roadshow today - "Serious Case Reviews".  It was held at The Abbey Conference Centre.  I had never heard of this before, and discovered a part of central Norwich that is largely hidden from the general public.

It is in the grounds of the Carrow Works - originally a Colman Mustard property, subsequently taken over by Unilever, and now used as a Robinsons manufacturing and bottling works.

The roadshow took up the morning, and when we were released at lunchtime, the sun was out.  I took the opportunity to wander in the grounds a short while, and take some photos of Carrow Abbey and Priory.

These are not generally open to the public, though they are, I believe, open as part of the "Heritage Open Days" in September.
