Cuitadella

This morning we drove to the west end of the island to the second biggest city of Cuitadella and what a fantastic place it is - so many beautiful old buildings, cobbled streets, interesting squares and a great river/harbour area.
Later, after walking several miles we went to an incredible site - Necropolis de Cala Morell - a series of 15 caves dug into rocks in the first millennium BC, as dwelling places and also for the burial of bones. I'm sure if this site was in the UK there would be a ticket price for entry, many barriers to stop you going too close and probably an audio guide - not so in Minorca!
Then off for a laze on Cala d'Algaiarens beach.
