Space Shuttle Cockpit, NASA Space Center

After yesterday's VIP tour we took advantage of the extra day's entry which they provide for "ex-VIPs", although this time we were just "normal" visitors - no extra privileges!

This is a mockup of the Space Shuttle Cockpit - with rather a plethora of switches - it must take a long time to learn which one does what!

(Yesterday we had our photos taken in the "real mockup" cockpit which was actually used by all the Shuttle pilots in their training - but today we had to make do with just looking at this one in the main gallery.)
