Palm trees at Funchal, Madeira

We flew home from Madeira today (thanks to everyone who wished us a good holiday - we had a great time!).

Before leaving our hotel I took this photo of the palm trees growing on our grassy veranda (at least one is a palm, I'm not sure what the other one is!). They looked good in the early morning light.

Tomorrow we are off to the English Lake District for a few days, meeting up with some family members. (Who said retirement could be boring?) Not a photo holiday this time but I hope to get some good blips!
