Woman in an Art Gallery, Number 37 (approx)

I got off on the wrong foot today with the consultant knee surgeon. He poked and prodded me, then explained that I needed an MRI scan. I had to tell him I'd had one last week. He was still complaining petulantly that nobody told him anything as I limped out. Surgery in a week or two - another blip opportunity.

Later, I met Mariën in the Modern Art Gallery. We were both looking at the new wall painting by Martin Creed ("repetition and rhythm sit at the heart of Creed's playful, ordered art"). It looked like coloured squares to us. I asked if I could take her photo with the mural behind her. She said she'd be delighted to be my foreground, which was either a linguistic quirk on her part (she's Dutch), or she had my photographic technique well sussed. I do like a good background.
