Exploits at 60!

Blighty Valley Cemetery.

A meandering journey today through the battlefields and cemeteries of WW1.  Such a journey provides endless 'blip' opportunities but I chose this blip today as this small cemetery has such peace and tranquillity.
The cemetery took its name from that given to the valley by the troops.  It was first used for men who fell on the opening day of the First Battle Of The Somme.  It was not used again until after the Armistice, when reburials from the battlefields were added.  It contains the graves of 1,022 British. 1 Canadian and 2 Australian soldiers.
