Rotten day

This pretty Aquilegia is to cheer me up. I need it.
First day back after a great week in Belgium, went to Queens Medical Centre for a routine check on the macular degeneration in my right eye.
Big shock! The wet macular degeneration in my right eye is halted, and the injections into it have halted the sight loss.
The really bad news is I have developed cataracts in both eyes, and the right eye is much the worse of the two and requires surgery!!!
So I am now on a short waiting list to have a new synthetic lens replacement in my right eye. (The left eye will come later when the right one is fixed.)
A real "bummer" of a day, not helped by the fact that I recenly spent a substantial sum on some new spectacles.
I am not a happy bunny tonight and quite apprehensive as I just hate having anything done to my eyes.
