Shadow of a Man

Today I've been to London to watch a wonderful production of La Bohème at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. What a truly magnificent production it was - those singers have such amazing voices! 

The weather was glorious, so afterwards we wandered around the area near Tower Bridge where there are many magnificent buildings - I had a great time with my wide angle lens, peering skywards :)

This shot taken towards the Shard stands out for me - I am particularly drawn to the man and his shadow and the way the pointed shape of the Shard is reflected on the shiny surface of the wall of the building.

I have a whole lot more photos of the area but it's getting late and I have to make the three hour drive home in the morning - maybe I'll post a folder on flickr tomorrow!

Update! I've now posted a folder on flickr showing some more of the amazing buildings in the Tower Bridge Quarter here, including a much closer view of the Shard, if you have time to browse :) I would have been happy to blip most of them, although my original choice remains my personal favourite!
