Another kind of dandelion

A yellow salsify, I think, which is a member of the dandelion family that gets really large and fluffy seed heads. Saw these in western Oklahoma when I was walking the dog at the rest area.  I have many more wildflowers but they are on the camera which I have not downloaded.  I will post some in the extras later.

After a 12 hour ride, we are spending the night at Amarillo Texas and it is pouring rain. Had supper with my cousin who I have not seen in 10 years or so. Tomorrow it is on to Santa Fe, New Mexico then a decision about the next leg of this trip.  I just hope the rain goes away. It is no fun taking photos of scenic mountain vistas from inside the truck.
