The Private Life of a Field

I had some vivid dreams but slept well. After another quiet morning, RadioGirl and I pootled off to take some photos of the River Wye from a very narrow suspension bridge and then took a scenic route over the tops to out park and rude car park.

Once at the festival, we saw some varied and interesting talks on archaeology in Hereford Cathedral Close, the Private Life of a Field and a discussion of the nature of trust (see blip) with Radio 4's Francine Stock and Tim Parker, Chair of the National Trust.

We bumped into some acquaintances of mine from Stony which was a bonus. After a good mooch in the book shop and a leisurely and tasty dinner by an excellent local caterer, we went to the comedy hour, with some good and one really not so good young comedians. We finished about 10pm and I'm pretty exhausted.

I received some difficult if rather vague news about Teddy's genetic situation this evening, which was tough and emotional but will only make us all stronger as a family and I need to be a good sister and aunt over the coming months.
